Movement

If you take Things and incorporate a Time element, the idea of Movement or motion emerges: a Thing moves over Time.

Any Thing might move a lot, or not much.

A Thing might appear to not be moving, but it may have smaller things inside it that ARE moving.

Cause and Effect

The manner by which things move seems to be traceable to a pattern referred to as "Cause" and "Effect".

To identify why something happened (an Effect), one can investigate Causes.

To try and increase the likelihood of an Effect occurring, one can become familiar with the pattern by which certain Causes lead to certain Effects.

Pressure

If Cause and Effect describe the pattern we observe, Pressure describes the mechanism that generates it.

An area of High Pressure tends to move toward an area of Low Pressure.

During this process, a new area of High Pressure tends to build, leading to a subsequent continued imbalance in a different part of the system.
